CBD for better sleep

Studies show that sleep problems are a common health condition in the world . About 10% of European population faces sleep problems (insomnia), where number is higher in the USA with 23.1%.

To understand how full-spectrum CBD can help with insomnia, we first have to look what causes it. According to SleepFoundation.org the most common causes are:

  • anxiety

  • stress

  • depression

  • pain

  • medical conditions

  • caffeine or nicotine intake close to bedtime.

It is thought that cannabinoids, such as CBD, can help you with insomnia and other sleep problems by helping treat the causes of sleeplessness.

A large research tested 103 adults monthly, who had sleep problems or anxiety, to check how CBD affected them and the results were:

“The final sample consisted of 72 adults presenting with primary concerns of anxiety (n = 47) or poor sleep (n = 25). Anxiety scores decreased within the first month in 57 patients (79.2%) and remained decreased during the study duration. Sleep scores improved within the first month in 48 patients (66.7%)” (source)

While CBD and other cannabinoids are still in early stages of research and much is still to be known about it’s benefits, it seems that the more cannabis plant is researched the more medicinal benefits are found.
